It is listed at 4401 S 1st St, Austin, TX 78745, which places it among the local businesses of Austin that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Austin follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I was originally going to leave a one-star review, but I’m giving Leonard’s a second star because the service I received from them in the past was generally pretty good. Unfortunately, my experience today was completely different. About 2.5 years and only 7,000 miles ago, Leonard’s replaced my windshield washer pump because it wasn’t working. My car was already disassembled for a condenser replacement at the time, so it was an inexpensive repair and I figured it made sense to have them replace it while they were in there. That replacement pump failed about three months ago, and I finally brought the car back in. Before I even handed over the key, I was told there would be a $160 diagnostic fee. I actually appreciated them being upfront about that. I wasn’t expecting a free replacement part after 2.5 years. I understand warranties expire. What I wasn’t expecting was a quote of more than $700 to replace the washer pump they installed less than 7,000 miles ago. If I remember correctly, roughly $650 of the quote was for the pump and labor, plus a grommet and some miscellaneous items. An OEM washer pump for this car is about $26. Even if you mark that up substantially—call it $100—I

I’ll start by saying I hate giving a one star review and always like to try to resolve things directly with a business first. I took my car here to get the AC inspected after it stopped blowing cold air. They got me right in and told me they’d update me once they did the diagnosis. They actually have really good systems and I appreciate they even text you the findings and include photos. They told me I needed to replace the entire AC system and that it would be $3000. The urgency in the sales guys voice is what led me to pause. Something didn’t feel right. I called around and I’m glad I did. I got a second opinion from someone in town and I found out it was actually a simple fix that was only $200. $200 and 10 minutes later I’m back in business with a cold AC. The other place walked me through everything and showed me exactly what the problem was and that said he’s seen this often. I asked him just out of curiosity, if I did need to replace the entire AC system, what would it typically cost for my car. He said about $2000. This is the second time I’ve had a major misdiagnosis at Leonard’s. I don’t expect places to be perfect but the first one I didn’t pause and get another opi

AAA towed my car to Leonard’s when it gave up on I-35. It was late on a Thursday afternoon and I kept calling Noah, the service advisor, to update him on my late tow. He was completely calm and reassuring. The tow truck and I arrived just as he was locking the front door. He kindly opened the gate so the driver could put my car inside the fence. He didn’t know if they could get to my car before the weekend. I was concerned because my car model wasn’t listed on their website. He assured me they had a qualified person to work on it. The next morning he called and had the problem diagnosed. I had my car back that afternoon. So far, I’ve had no further issues, so I’m very satisfied and would definitely return to Leonard’s in the future. I’m very glad to have discovered them. Thank you, Noah!

Leonard’s has serviced my car multiple times both for minor & major repairs and I’ve always had great results. Just recently had work done on it and I’m very pleased with how well it’s driving now and how quickly it was finished. Definitely recommend!
